Sudden decrease in Vulture population is due to diclofenac

Most species of vulture are in danger of extinction due to the  drug, diclofenac,  is used to treat inflammation in livestock but it is fatal for vultures as it cause acute kidney failure & death when they eat the carcasses of animals treated with this drugs besides this there is thinning of their egg shell leading to decrease in survival of embryo growing in the egg

Since  2006, veterinary use of diclofenac is banned by the government
