ABOUT GATE Biotechnology

This separation of GATE Biotechnology has started from year 2010 to establish Biotechnology as separate stream. The basic introduction in same as that of GATE Life Science but opportunities for students after qualifying this exam are more especially if they want to pursue for Process Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, Bioinformatics or any Environmental Biotechnology fields. The syllabus include almost all subject which are included in any BE/B.Tech Biotechnology or M.Sc. Biotechnology including Mathematics topics of 10+2 as well as of engineering level.

About the exam there is nothing more to say since this was held first time in 2010 and had mainly applied numerical type questions and conceptual questions. Mathematics was not very difficult so we suggest all the students to prepare their subject conceptually and applicative way.

For general aptitude there are many things to prepare which you can get from any management entrance course material or books available from market.

Aadhar classroom program for GATE BT starts from July every year and continue till January. Some basic classes are held together with M.Sc. Biotech entrance but much of the classes are held exclusively for GATE (BT) especially for engineering student most of which are actually from non-biology background.
